We are looking to recruit a Community Engagement Co-ordinator for our busy Church in Bury.
Key Responsibilities:
You will oversee and manage the existing community programme of events with the overall aim to develop the programme in line with the needs of the local community. You will manage a team of volunteers to ensure that we provide a good programme for the local community who use our facilities.
Part of the role will also be to organise external funding to ensure the community programme can continue and thrive.
There is a busy drop in with food club and café taking place on Tuesday and Thursday which you will manage, and you will be responsible for taking the deliveries for the drop ins and café on Monday.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to manage a busy workload with knowledge of managing a group of volunteers.
- IT literacy
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively alongside officers and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the site.
- Previous experience of growing programme/volunteer groups.
