Are you passionate about Music and the Performing Arts? Are you able to inspire and foster a love of music in young people? Can you work collaboratively with a highly creative team of specialists? We are looking for a Teacher of Music to deliver music lessons and work with the Head of Music and the Performing Arts Faculty to create excellent opportunities for our students. Music and Performing Arts are an integral part of school life at Pershore High School with a strong ethos of promoting creativity in all pupils through a life-long love of the Performing Arts subjects.

The Music department comprises of two music rooms, various practice rooms, a recording space and other performance areas. The successful candidate will join the school at a very exciting time in its development as we expand our pupil numbers and embark on a £22 million refurbishment and new build of which the Performing Arts department takes centre stage.

We currently have 1148 students on roll in Years 7-13 of which 188 are on the SEND Register, 32 of whom have EHCPs. This includes 14 students who are part of our Mainstream Autism Base (MAB). In addition, 16% of students are in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant. The school was rated Good by Ofsted at their last visit in November 2022 and we have outstanding pastoral provision. Our highly successful school is steadily growing and student numbers are predicted to rise further in the next few years.
