About this role

This is a challenging and rewarding role where the post holder will lead in the provision of legal support, advice and guidance to our highly professional, committed and student focused community at the University of Chichester. Working with stakeholders across our two campuses at Chichester and Bognor Regis, the University Solicitor is key to delivering an excellent legal compliance service.

About you

You will be a qualified solicitor admitted to practice in England and Wales, with significant Post Qualification experience (PQE). With up to date knowledge and expertise in contract, commercial and intellectual property law, you will be able to advise colleagues through effective communication which inspires confidence in the University's legal position.

About the team

Reporting to the University Secretary, you will work with our Academic and Professional Services teams to provide clear and concise advice on legal issues to non-qualified members of staff across the University. You'll need to demonstrate an ability to manage a varied and time-pressured workload whilst delivering a friendly and agile legal service.
