Working day: We offer flexible working. As long as you are online each day between the core hours of 10am-4pm UK time, and you work the minimum 40 hours each week, you can decide when you start and finish each day.

Location: London, UK. We have a 15-person private WeWork office in Shoreditch, London, but offer hybrid working. We will be expanding into New York later this year

Job Description

We're looking for a driven, ambitious and proactive Junior Account Executive, Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join our close-knit team and help tell the stories of some of the world's most transformative startups, non-profits, and technology organisations.

Nara Communications is a UK and US-based PR agency that specialises in raising the profile of technology startups and scaleups, investment firms (VC & PE), non-profits and governmental organisations in the international media.

With clients across Europe, the US and Africa, we focus on telling the stories behind meaningful companies in sectors such as sustainability, health, education, EVs, AI, femtech, and DEI. Our results help them increase brand credibility, raise investment, acquire new customers and attract top talent.

Our CEO and co-founder, Nick Baines (PR Week 30 Under 30) has a decade of experience in the comms industry, raising the profile of hundreds of startups, scaleups, investors and corporates. Nara has grown to 15 people in its first three years, without any external capital. In this role, you will be in constant communication with the senior team at Nara and will play an active role in the growth and strategy of the business. Additional responsibilities and financial remuneration are quickly provided to high-performing employees.

Responsibilities

Pitching and developing relationships with journalists at some of the most well-read media publications globally, including The Guardian, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, and The New York Times Building and nurturing strong relationships with our clients through excellent communication, strategic counsel, and seamless execution of PR initiativesOwning client relationships from ideation to delivery - handle reporting, administration, strategic brainstorming, research into specific industries, and proactively shape narratives that elevate clients' media presence Writing press releases, opinion articles, pitches for journalists, quotes and social media copy Coming up with and running creative campaign ideas Analysing and extracting newsworthy client dataTravelling internationally to meet with our global clients and support them at events Knowledge, skills and experienceAble to demonstrate excellent communication and writing skillsProactive, motivated and hardworking Creative and excited by new ideas Detail-oriented, organised and time efficient Collaborative and compassionate in the way they work Recent graduates or candidates with internship experience in public relations or related fields are encouraged to apply. While professional experience is valuable, we are open to considering entry-level candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills and a passion for the industry. While a background in technology, startups, or the media is preferable, if you don't have this, then you must be willing to learn about and foster an interest in them.
