At Labcorp Early Development in Alconbury, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire we are looking to recruit a ResearchAnalyst to join our expanding Radiosynthesis Metabolism team.
Responsible for conducting procedures and methods used in the radiosynthesis group to high scientific standards, in compliance with appropriate company standards, SOPs, GLP and regulatory guidelines specified in the study plans. A research Analyst will use resources, skills and develop effective planning skills to help achieve customer expectations in quality and timing. The role includes communicating and working with internal partners and completing training courses as applicable.
Job responsibilities include:
Supporting our radiochemists in re-purifications, the setting up of chemical reactions, plus monitoring of synthesis reactions and work-up of these reactions, using analytical techniques of HPLC, TLC and LSC where appropriate with training and guidance
Routine housekeeping activities (including emptying bins, cleaning surfaces and defrosting freezers plus maintaining laboratory consumables stock levels. More radiosynthesis specific housekeeping tasks include radioactive waste disposal, monitoring and glassware soaking/washing
Maintaining compliance with GLP and HSE regulations at all times
Providing timely updates of study progress to the Study Director and ensuring that the study director is informed of any problems that may require review or may compromise study integrity
Correct use of on-line data capture systems and office computers
Reviewing own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness and soundness of technical judgment
Routinely supporting studies in a non-primary area of work
Consistently and continuously responds efficiently to requests (delivers high quality output on time) and motivating self and others to assure timely delivery of customer expectations
Evaluating and developing new approaches, ideas and concepts for existing tasks and improving or replacing existing procedures
Improving team performance through realistic planning and open constructive feedback
Experience:
BTEC or Degree level (or equivalent) in Chemistry or related discipline
Relevant scientific and regulatory knowledge
Have worked in or have knowledge of a GLP environment
