Job Title: System Administrator
Location: Cambridge, UK (90% remote)
Salary: £40,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Oversee SQL Server databases and ensure their performance, security, and availability.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking components (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Administer Storage Area Networks (SAN) with a focus on PowerStore systems.
  • Provide support for Linux servers and ensure their seamless integration within the IT environment.
  • Monitor system performance, ensure system availability and reliability, and maintain backups.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect data and IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement IT projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Proficient in managing SQL Server databases.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and hands-on experience with network equipment.
  • Experience with SAN management, particularly PowerStore.
  • Competence in managing and troubleshooting Linux servers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
