An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Stoma/Colorectal Nurse Specialist Team and develop specialist nursing skills in this field.

The Stoma/Colorectal Nurse Team is hosted by Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership. The role supports stoma/colorectal patients in the Grampian region. We deliver care in mainly in ARI surgical wards and support other clinical settings including the community setting and community hospitals. Clinic settings include Stoma Clinic, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Clinic and the General Surgical Clinics.

The successful candidate will be provided with a robust on the job induction from the core team and will be required to undertake relevant Colorectal/stoma training including formal study days. You will be expected to facilitate the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care for patients undergoing colorectal and stoma surgery. This also includes assessing and supporting patients within the pelvic floor pathway. Excellent communication skills and a team player are vital to this role. You should demonstrate wide and varied post registration experience and surgical experience would be an advantage. Please refer to the person specification for more detail.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8000 may be available to successful candidate

Car owner/driver is essential.

Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (1.0 WTE) worked over Monday to Friday
