The role:
CAMO Planning Engineer
The CAMO Planning Engineer ensures compliance of the approved maintenance programme to ensure the completion of scheduled work within established timescales by co-ordinating with the contracted maintenance centres and planning departments. Provide successful oversight of our contracted suppliers to deliver on time maintenance performance, ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and contract suppliers to support the continued airworthiness of the BA Euroflyer fleet.
What you'll do:
- Provide oversight for the delivery of the Approved Maintenance Programme (AMP) to ensure completion of the work scheduled within the established timescales.
- Coordination with the contracted maintenance organisations, planning departments and commercial department to manage and communicate the development of planned maintenance inputs works to maintain operational stability.
- Coordinate and supervise major reviews of the medium and long-term plans, ensuring the completion of all scheduled work and scheduled aircraft down times.
- Ensure that all BA Euroflyer aircraft are maintained in accordance with the regulations and requirements defined by the CAA, aircraft and equipment manufacturers standards and the BA Euroflyer procedures.
- Coordinate and control the on-time maintenance activity in the BA Euroflyer network, by liaising with the contracted maintenance providers, planning departments and Operations Control Centre, including for AOG situations.
- Supervise the control of life limited parts, inspections and Airworthiness Directives, so that they are completed within the established deadlines.
- Working with the CAMO team to ensure the necessary conditions for the extension of the Airworthiness Certificates are met in accordance with MA 305 and as prescribed by the BA Euroflyer procedures.
- Monitor safety events and occurrence reports in the operation of the aircraft in accordance with the BA Euroflyer procedures.
- Work with the other members of the CAMO team to support the delivery of a safe and airworthy operation of the BA Euroflyer fleet.
What you'll bring to British Airways:
- Knowledge of CAA Part-M, Part 145 and Part 21 requirements
- Knowledge of business, regulatory and operating environment
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with relevant stakeholders, aircraft and equipment manufacturers and other key suppliers.
- Ability to deliver strategic plans for the fleet
- Knowledge of safety and quality management systems
Your experience:
- Minimum of grade C G.C.S.E. in maths and English or equivalent
- HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject or CAA/EASA pt66 licence
- Degree in an Aerospace Engineering subject
- Experience of managing aircraft acquisition, take on and hand-back activities
- Experience of working within a technical or continuing airworthiness management department
