The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital in the day-to-day running of schools. The best Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and are able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, quickly and effectively.

About the role

Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills. You will be supported in deciding whether you d prefer to work in primary, secondary or SEND provisions and will receive ongoing support from a dedicated consultant. You will be working with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support with interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).

About the school

Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, which will give you the essential skills you need to work as a Teaching Assistant.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Trainee Teaching Assistant-SEND you will:

  • To be willing to complete the relevant training

Salary

£415 to £465 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • To complete the training courses provided
  • To hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to process one with us
