Our aim is to appoint excellent classroom practitioners with a strong interest in coaching and enabling every pupil to succeed.

We are seeking to appoint a diligent and proactive Health and Safety Officer to join our team and help maintain our high standards of safety and premises management. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices, relevant qualifications in health and safety, e.g. Level 3 IOSH certificate or equivalent and have experience delivering health and safety compliance within a complex organisation.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • To update the School Health and Safety Policy for approval by the Governors;
  • Continuously monitor and review the Health and Safety policy
  • Provide a termly report to the Governors
  • Assist with the writing and updating of other school policies containing a Health and Safety element
  • Manage and liaise with other premises staff including the Janitor, maintenance technician and cleaners on Health and Safety issues
  • Act as Fire Officer, organising risk assessment and fire drill
  • Organise a team of fire marshals to cover all areas of school buildings
  • Produce risk assessments and ensure these are in place and adhered to
  • Monitor and organise Health and Safety training
