During Worth Term time – working a rotating shift pattern - Mon – Fri shifts between the hours of 0700 – 1800 – with 1 in 5 Saturday working 0800 – 1300.

We are seeking to appoint a Porter to join our team based at Worth School. The role involves working as part of a team, to be responsible for the wide-ranging general porter duties, cleaning duties across all school sites, setting up school events, ensuring a clean, safe and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

As a Porter, your responsibilities would include:

Setting up function rooms, community and outdoor areas for various eventsDay-to-day management of refuse and recycling across the siteDomestic repairs, e.g., changing lamps, hanging curtains, refit loose fittingsGeneral cleanliness of internal and external areas, including cleaning of spillagesCollection and delivery of site laundryFirst point of contact out of hoursMonitor the day-to-day safe operation of the car parkBeing the 'eyes and ears' on the groundWhat we are looking for:A full driving licenceAbility to build and maintain good working relationshipsFlexible and adaptable to changing requirementsGood level of practical DIY skillsA positive approach to workA commitment to team workingGood customer service skills The School offers its own generous salary scale and an enhanced benefits scheme including an employee assistance programme, meal provision, enhanced pension contribution and death in service insurance.
