Before / Afterschool Playworker

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and committed members to join our team at Brookhurst Breakfast and After school club team. We are seeking people able to create a positive and stimulating environment for the children. Successful applicants will have the ability to work collaboratively as a team and have strong communication skills with children, parents and staff.

We are looking for staff who are proactive in creating and leading activities for the children to maximise their enjoyment at the club.

Duties include prepare, deliver and participate in play activities, setting up and clearing away after sessions, being alert to child to staff ratios and understanding their role in the care and safeguarding of children at all times, provide care for the children – collecting and delivering small groups to and from school, prepare and serve snacks, administer first aid as appropriate and in accordance with school policies, assisting in keeping stock levels maintained, reporting low stock to the manager and helping to keep the resources in good order. The successful candidates will be willing to participate in appropriate training, such as food hygiene and first aid and must complete annual safeguarding training.
