Project Manager

The Project Manager will be a member of a team of UK & Ireland dedicated Project Managers, who are responsible for leading the execution of the transformation initiatives in the Global Operational Excellence (OPEX) programme, to deliver the Target Operating Model by 2025 and also manage other key regional projects.

  • This role is part of the central Transformation team, including Project Managers and Business Analysts, with up to 20 years' experience in the firm.
  • The initial focus of the role will be in establishing a governance structure and detailed plans to drive the assigned project(s) in the UK & Ireland.
  • Marsh operates in a rapidly changing environment, such that there will be future opportunities for delivering significant change initiatives with potential for future roles with line management.

We will rely on you to:

  • Manage a project or workstream of Medium to larger project end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project plan is detailed and fully planned to ensure the milestones are completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Adhere to the appropriate project governance structure, and manages all project stakeholders and project team members in the successful delivery of the project, including managing their tasks, project workload, and deadlines.
  • Ensure comprehensive scope document is in place at the start of the project, and continuously reviews the scope document as the project progresses any deviation to scope needs to be signed off and documented in a monthly Steerco as well as at the CR board
  • Work with Stakeholders to manage project risks and issues, and ensures Lessons Learned on projects are shared with colleagues and recommendations adopted are implemented.
  • Track project status information and project artefacts at various stages of a project lifecycle and ensures we are tracking our costs against budget and on a monthly basis and forecasting to the completion of the project

What you need to have:

  • Project management experience overseeing small to medium size projects within in a multi-cultural and multi-site environment
  • Demonstrated ability in driving small to medium size projects across
  • Agile trained preferred
  • Domain knowledge in financial services, insurance preferred
  • Experience in stakeholder management, maintaining project budgets, review and resolution of project issues, escalate when necessary
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skill

  • Working on prior projects and managing the project working team preparing project updates for varying levels of stakeholders
