About the role:
Activate Learning are now looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to join our CreaTech Team at Banbury and Bicester College on a permanent basis.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive, who is committed to enabling our level 2 and 3 GCSE students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers, or from graduates who are looking to get into teaching.
This is a permanent, part-time position, working 14.8 hours per week (0.4 FTE) based at our Banbury College campus. Ideally these hours would be arranged on Mondays and Tuesdays, but there may be flexibility for the right candidate. Additional hours may be available up to full time in other teams.
What do you need to be successful as an English teacher at Activate Learning?
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
For this role you will need the following:
- A level 3 qualification in English or a related subject
- A teaching qualification
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
