Tes is supporting the appointment of a Residential Sports Graduate to join a School based in Lincolnshire.

The school would like to hear from Graduates of Sports Coaching & Science degrees or qualified coaches who have ambitions in teaching or coaching, who can contribute to the vibrant sports culture at their Schools.

The Physical Education & Sports Department comprises of a team of 15 full time specialist teachers alongside a further seven full time sport specific specialist coaches and a number of external coaches.

Facilities within SES are first class, with extensive playing fields with 8 rugby pitches, 2 grass cricket squares and 5 Astro strips, superb sports centre with 25m swimming pool (a second pool at the Junior School), as well as onsite physio provision, 3 floodlit hockey astros, 4 squash courts, 2 sports halls, gymnasium, 2 fitness suites, dance studio, spin studio, 16 floodlit hard tennis courts and 10 floodlit netball courts.

Position Overview:

As a Residential Sports Graduate, you will work closely with their experienced coaching and education staff to enhance the overall sports experience for their students. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of young athletes, gain valuable hands-on experience, and be part of a collaborative and engaging educational environment.

This is a two year fixed term contract.

The first year will have an emphasis on taking a major sport each term and gaining experience in teaching and coaching within the curriculum & co-curricular program.

The second year will involve more leadership experiences, furthering qualifications and attending CPD bespoke to your ambitions in your chosen field. An appropriate candidate can be invited to apply for a supported PGCE in the year.

Requirements:

Hold a relevant degree or suitable sports qualification.Have relevant experience/qualifications in playing and/or coaching in hockey, netball, cricket or rugby.Have experience and/or interest in working with young people and to pursue a career as a teacher or in a sports related field.Be able to support students pastorally and role model appropriate behaviours.Understand child protection and safeguarding requirements.
