Asbestos Consultant

Northampton

40k per annum

Agenda Partnership are working with a Northamptonshire based client who are looking for an Asbestos Consultant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This role is responsible for conducting surveys in various residential and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collect samples, perform visual inspections, and accurately record data to assess the presence and condition of asbestos-containing materials safely.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Professional and accurate surveying and completing reports
  • Accurately quality check asbestos survey reports and rectify anomalies where required.
  • Discuss survey report findings directly with the customer
  • Ensure all equipment & materials are available to complete the survey safely and diligently.
  • Communicate with the client pre-survey, during & post-survey.
  • Complete site RAMS & identify all project related risks to ensure all H&S risks have been addressed and reported.
  • Be fully trained and competent in use of survey specific equipment including IPAF, PASMA & Confined Space.
  • Accurately complete lab paperwork including bulk samples posted in a timely manner.
  • Train and mentor and trainee surveyors and less experienced surveyors through leading by example showing the highest standards in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Report accidents and incidents in line with company and H&S procedures.
  • Competently deliver large- and small-scale asbestos in soils & WAC Testing projects.
  • Competently deliver adhoc testing services including Anthrax, Density Testing, Lead in Paint etc.
  • Deliver Asbestos Awareness Training (AAT), Non-Licensed Training, Duty to Manage Training and refresher to full range of clients.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Asbestos Regulations, Legislation & Guidance Documents.
  • Produce bespoke, adhoc asbestos documents to assist clients to manage asbestos.
  • Aid with adhoc site visits and pricing of asbestos surveys and other related services.
  • Attend project prestart meetings and client liaison and sales meetings.

Skills and experience required:

  • P402 Qualified
  • Trained and competent in use of survey specific equipment including IPAF, PASMA & Confined Space
  • Full UK driving license
  • Proficient with the use of TEAMS
  • Live within a 2 hour drive of Northamptonshire to attend office meetings
