Our branded international SME client, a formidable player in their market is currently looking to recruit a new UK Financial Controller.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, fast paced, highly reputable and commercially focused supply chain and distribution business where you will be responsible for providing financial, commercial and projects expertise to support the MD and the senior leadership team on their exciting growth journey and future path.

This role really does stand out as an A-star opportunity, to be a very visible and integral part of a pedigree international business with a diverse and comprehensive product offering a very strong order book.

Amongst the key responsibilities of this visible and very hands-on newly created role will be to provide technical, commercial and value adding business partnering support, commercial and key performance analysis and project facilitation to the senior and operational leadership team.

As well as maintaining the financial health of the business, you will also be responsible for liaising with auditors to ensure timely finalisation of year end audits,managing the production of the VAT return and other mandatory statistical reporting requirements.

With a close and curious eye on costing and stock you will also be responsible for scrutinising and analysing costs, pricing, sales results and the company's actual performance versus forecast, as well as conducting reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities and continuous improvements.

This most certainly is a varied role with great longer-term progression potential that will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business.

Strong spreadsheet, SAP ERP and MS excel skills are advantageous as is any recent sector experience of working within sales, fmcg, and product pricing.

This role will best suit a qualified ACA, ACCA, ACMA group accountant, financial controller, finance manager, business partner or company secretary with at least 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
