Hobart is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group, an Illinois Tool Works (ITW) business, and is a leading provider in the supply of commercial food equipment.

Hobart UK has two major business operations, Equipment and Service (circa £70m). The businesses are based in the East of England (Peterborough) and employs around 270 employees, including around 100 Service Technicians and 30 Area Sales Managers that are field based across the UK.

For decades, the Hobart brand has been a world market leader in providing commercial Warewashing products with best-in-class total cost of ownership and wash performance to major Food Service/Food retail customers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

IT Management

You will provide direction and support to the IT team and will oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.

Monitor the performance of IT systems and propose appropriate IT infrastructure improvements.

Ensure compliance with corporate IT security policy.

Identify risks and vulnerabilities according to corporate guidelines, conduct cybersecurity self-assessments, support pen testing, and take appropriate remedial action.

Manage the entire business application landscape, including 3rd party solutions, integrations and reporting.

Establish service-level commitments to guarantee reliable and efficient operations.

Responsible for IT vendor partnerships, monitoring performance against agreements in place.

Establish an incident response team and plan for unforeseen events.

Manage IT budgets and raise investment proposals for Capital projects.

Mentor, coach, and upgrade the IT team's skills to build a strong and diverse talent pipeline.

ERP

Develop and implement a comprehensive ERP strategy.

Coach the full ERP project team to their full potential and achieve project objectives on schedule and within budget.

Steer the selection process for the implementation partner(s).

Support and drive process change across the business in line with D365 best practices.

Organise the capture of existing business processes.

Compile functional requirements for D365 customisations and integrations.

Conduct a fit/gap analysis with the project team and D365 implementation partner.

Define integration and user acceptance testing procedures.

Coordinate and contribute to end-user training.

Develop system documentation.

Plan the transition of legacy systems to D365, the go-live and the ongoing support structure.

Serve as technical lead for D365.

Build a team to provide ongoing support for the ERP environment.

The Successful Applicant

Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices. Operates with a high level of ownership, accountability, and autonomy.

Experience with: ERP design and implementation ERP operations, preferably D365 Systems integration, especially D365 add-ons Agile software development methodology The Microsoft stack, Microsoft 365, and the Azure cloud services Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI Migration of legacy systems Change management Strong business acumen and leadership skills Excellent written and interpersonal skills
