Consisting of first year, full-time off the job training at Gloucestershire EngineeringTraining and remaining 3 years of apprenticeship consisting of 4 days per week gaining
work experience at ABB's company premises, and 1 day per week at GET's premises in continuation of apprenticeship studies.

Your responsibilities
  • We wish to 'grow our own' internal engineering technicians, to further develop into operations engineers, to meet identified future skills gaps.
  • First year full-time off the job training at the premises of Gloucestershire Engineering Training.
  • Second to fourth years of the apprenticeship spent on site at ABB's site at Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, rotating around various engineering functions to gain experience.
  • These functions will include: Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Design & Development, QA, Systems integration.
  • Four days per week spent on site at ABB's site, and one day per week at the premises of GET continuing off-site engineering apprenticeship studies.
  • This programme is a great opportunity, however, will require a lot of hard work and dedication.
  • Learners will be expected to work 2 or 3 qualifications at the same time and also contribute towards production
  • from the second year onwards.
  • Failure to complete the programme may also result in failure to remain in employment.
