Tipton, Sandwell, United Kingdom Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council Full time

Joseph Turner Primary School is eager to appoint a Wellbeing Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team. The candidate must be experienced and confident in supporting primary aged children with a range of needs. You should be passionate about 'making a difference' to the lives of our pupils.

We run the behaviour recovery programme at our school; we put the pupil at the centre of everything we do. Staff are emotionally intelligent, modelling and teaching children strategies which enable them to recover their own behaviour and make better choices in the future. You will play an important part in supporting children to develop strategies so that they can fully engage with all of the curriculum and make better than expected progress.

Joseph Turner is a friendly community school with welcoming staff. You will receive high quality professional development and day-to-day support from our pastoral team and senior managers. As a whole school we continually work to develop pedagogy and you will be involved in classroom practice that inspires children to become lifelong learners. Our pupils have extremely high expectations of their teachers and support staff; they are eager to learn and proud to achieve.

Ofsted (May 2018) judged us as 'Good' in all areas.

"The picture of pupils' progress in recent years in reading writing and mathematics is positive. Progress across key stage 2 has been particularly strong, notably in reading and mathematics."

"Head teacher, has a clear vision for the school, which is communicated effectively."

"Safeguarding pupils is at the heart of the school's work with pupils and their families."
