The role: Database Administrator

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Database Administrator to join our Business Management Team in either Bristol or London.

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and governance of client data in the Darwin Contracts Database. As the systems administrator, the successful candidate will be accountable for both business-as-usual and ad-hoc data accuracy & reporting across the Darwin revenue & invoicing framework.

This role could suit either an existing DB Administrator or perhaps even a Data/Financial Analyst looking for a new opportunity within the database field within a larger global organisation.

We will rely on you for:

  • Carry out ongoing data maintenance, governance & management within the Darwin Contracts Database
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve financial data quality & governance across systems
  • Update and maintain the Contracts Database by inputting and approving financial data from the CRM, loading templates into MS Access, and updating adjusting client data monthly, alongside other ad-hoc maintenance
  • Carry out various control framework reconciliations
  • Generating database loaders for Mercer invoicing systems and updating annually recurring client contract revenue data
  • Generating run rate reports relating to SaaS revenue by client and product
  • Creating and maintaining monthly & ad-hoc reports for Darwin business units
  • Working closely with offshore teams to load approved documentation to the Mercer invoicing system

What you need to have:

  • Highly analytical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience in database management and maintenance (Excel, Access, SQL etc)
  • Previous revenue/finance roles desirable but not required
  • Experience in SQL desirable, but in-role training also available

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience working in B2B SaaS is preferable
  • Currently or intending to study for a financial or business qualification (fundamental understanding of audit and finance governance principles preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge and prior experience of working on flexible benefits platforms
