The role:
As Brompton continues to grow, the need to centralise and control the indirect spend has become increasingly important, and as such Brompton is looking for someone to support the Indirect Procurement Manager the day-to-day indirect procurement activities. This role will require you to be a self-starter, good at analysing data, whilst ensuring that parts/services and contracts are delivered in line with the business and stake holders' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities as an Indirect Buyer include:
- Targeting cost saving & consolidation opportunities in the indirect categories whilst maintaining quality and service.
- Analysing the current spends and look for opportunities to save costs in line with the business KPI's.
- Drive and develop a reliable, sustainable, and robust supply chain for alternatively sourced parts and services.
- Help develop and implement contracts and long-term agreement for all newly sourced parts and services.
- Managing bids and tenders for all contracting work
- Reducing the burden on BBL trading terms and import duties (where applicable) and taxes.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received, ensuring that any issues are fully investigated and resolved.
- Develop and introduce KPI's throughout the indirect categories.
- Attending internal meetings as and when necessary, with various departments.
- Compliance with the processes and procedures in place within BBL.
- Working on other projects as and when required
- Any other tasks that may be deemed necessary.
Job requirements - Indirect Buyer
Who you are:
- Good communication skills at different levels of the business.
- Ability to build key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Driven, motivated and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Punctual, methodical, adaptable, and reliable.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Good analytical skills
Desired Experience:
- Experience working with suppliers.
- Experience in a "hands on" procurement role.
- Working knowledge of MRP/APS systems
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Teams.
- CIPS certified, desirable but not essential.

- Flexible and hybrid working patterns available
