We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Music to join our successful Music Department. We are committed to ensuring that every child is supported to learn and thrive. This is a new post to accommodate rising student numbers across the school. You would be joining a supportive, enthusiastic and aspirational department which is constantly seeking to improve and provide our musicians with a broad range of quality musical experiences both in and out of the classroom. Music is a valued subject within the school and is well-supported by the senior leadership team, who recognise its importance within the school and wider community. As an example of this support, a range of co-curricular music clubs are run as part of a 'morning music programme' (from am) where students attend rehearsals before school and during tutor time, in addition to others which happen during lunchtimes and after school.

The Emmbrook School also acts as one of the area music centres for Berkshire Music Trust and is building strong links with this organisation in order to give our students access to a broader range of specialist instrumental/singing lessons, ensembles and enrichment opportunities.

This post would be suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers.

Music is currently taught in Years 7-11, however, it is hoped that it will be possible to introduce A' level Music from September 2025. If you are driven to inspire and motivate students to do their best, we would like to hear from you.
