We are currently seeking a 3D Biology Product Manager who will be responsible for driving commercial growth for our growing portfolio of 3D biology elements including model systems and workflows, cell culture media kits, and workflow solutions. To accomplish this, the candidate will need to work across functional boundaries with engineering, sales, manufacturing, marketing, and external partners. The position reports to the Senior Product Manager.

Position is based in either Cardiff, UK or Salzburg, Austria.

What we'll get you doing:

  • Assess markets and propose new 3D biology products based on market insights and customer input
  • Deliver strategic input around forward planning for the overall 3D biology product portfolio
  • Work with sales to drive key initiatives such as pricing strategy and competitive positioning and strategy. Coordinate delivery of sales tools and training as needed to support initiatives, commercial growth, and onboarding of new sales associates
  • Conduct Voice-of-Customer research and communicate findings and customer requirements to product development teams to ensure a mutual understanding of customer expectations
  • Develop business cases, verify business case assumptions, and set financial expectations for new products
  • Execute product launch plans to ensure product acceptance and revenue goals
  • Continually monitor new product performance and quickly react to any changes in the market

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • Master's degree (PhD degree preferred) in life science or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a life sciences company
  • Knowledge of Molecular Devices products is a plus.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with 3D models, tools, and methods
  • Proven ability to accomplish tasks in a team environment (e.g.: engineering, marketing, manufacturing, technical support), providing day-to-day input where needed to achieve goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate and present complex concepts
  • Travel of up to 20% both domestically and internationally is expected to meet with global development teams and customers.
