Honorary Treasurer

We are a charity seeking a skilled and detail-oriented person to join as an Honorary Treasurer for the Geologists' Association (GA). The Treasurer will be appointed as an Officer and Trustee and will be responsible for the financial activities of the GA.

Responsibilities will include; reporting to Council the present and future financial outlook, working with the office staff and accountants to oversee the bookkeeping and prepare the annual report.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a Treasurer role with accounting software, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with accounting software

Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Note: This is an unpaid voluntary position. Expenses in carrying out dues will be reimbursed.

The hours are flexible, hybrid working, but with some visits to Burlington House, London
