The Role

We are seeking a Technician Demonstrator who will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of our engineering labs, within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering group. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair faulty equipment/components, operate and manage laboratories. Responsibilities include preparing and setting up lab materials before sessions, adhering to strict health and safety measures to ensure a safe teaching environment. Familiarity with engineering and simulation software (e.g., Matlab, , C/C++, SIMetrix, Arduino IDE, PCB Design Software, ROS) is also desirable.



The Person



The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background in diagnosing and repairing electronic components, with hands-on experience in PCB design and manufacturing. Proficiency in a variety of engineering software and tools is essential, as is the ability to prepare and manage laboratory settings efficiently. A commitment to health and safety standards and experience in component supply management are required. Desirable attributes include familiarity with robotic systems and excellent communication skills, facilitating effective support and guidance to students and staff in a dynamic academic environment.
