My client within the Not For Profit and Charities space based in Carlisle is seeking a dedicated and detailed-orientated IT Technician. The purpose of this role is to resolve internal 1st and 2nd line technical support issues across a tight-knit technology department; the ideal candidate will support the team by ensuring the smooth and efficient running of IT systems.

Their primary goal is to provide affordable options and support communities in the UK. They are based primarily across the North with the majority of sites across Carlisle with over 200+ employees. Everyday within the IT function is different, providing a supportive and diverse place to learn, grow and develop.
Description
- Responding to IT support queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and diagnosing technical issues.
- Identifying and solving hardware or software faults.
- Install, configure and support all IT systems.
- Testing and evaluating new technology.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
- Setting up new user's accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
- Conducting safety checks on computer equipment.
The technical stack is made up of the following, please do not apply to this role is you are not familiar with: Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, SharePoint, Office 365, Windows 10, Remote Control software/ VPN
Profile
A successful IT Technician should have:
- Proven experience in an IT support role.
- A solid understanding of hardware and software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- High level of customer-service.
- A passion for technology and a willingness to learn.
- A strong knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles (e.g. identification of security best practice & GDPR).
- For this opportunity you MUST live in a commutable distance of Carlisle, and be able to travel occasionally within this area to other sites.
