Science Technician

We are now recruiting for a Science Technician to provide technical support to teaching staff within science classes. We are looking for someone who has a flexible approach and is able to tackle a range of routine duties within the science department. Contracted hours will be 35 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time, plus teacher training days, plus 1 week to be agreed with the department and the successful candidate).

The successful candidate will, alongside the Technician Team, assist with the planning and preparation of materials and technical information for practical work. They will have a recognised science qualification, and/or laboratory experience or have relevant experience working as a Science Technician.

They will be aware of CLEAPPS/COSHH and other regulations regarding the storage of chemicals. They will work well under pressure and be equally comfortable working on their own or as a part of a team.
