Teach Plus are currently working with a number of primary schools within the Hillingdon Area seeking Learning Support Assistants to join their team.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to support pupils with SEN who needs additional support with their social, emotional and physical needs. You will play a crucial role in educating and supporting children with challenging behaviours within the school provision. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these students.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be required to:
Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficient in challenging behaviour management.Experience in tutoring small classes of students with ASD or ADHD.Advantages: Positive behaviour management, restraint training, or a background in support roles.Advantageous: Experience tutoring within SEN schools or provisions.Ability to connect with students on a personal level, demonstrating a firm yet caring nature.Familiarity with special education practices and strategies.
