A Management Accountant position is available in this finance department of a renowned company based in Banbury. The role requires a finance-savvy individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work as part of a team.

Description

The Management Accountant will be supporting the Deputy Financial Controller with a wide range of duties including:

  • Prepare in collaboration with the financial controller the forecasted budgets, cash and P&L
  • Financial Inventory management to include, material price variance reporting, scrap reporting etc
  • Detailed variance analysis of financial data v budgets/forecasts/estimated.
  • Detailed analysis of cost of sales and margin analysis
  • Detailed Self billing analysis ensuring that all sales are charged and paid.
  • Accrual and prepayment calculations with full detailed analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Fixed asset management, additions, disposals and depreciation calculations
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of group reporting requirements using Excel
  • Assist in internal and external audits.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Previous experience of monthend accounting procedures and financial analysis.
  • A keen understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
  • Ideally be studying for ACCA/CIMA, but not essential.
  • Live locally to Banbury as this role is office based.
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • A team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to produce accurate financial reports and make decisions based on these reports.
