Senior Practice Accountant, Liverpool City Centre

Due to continued success and growth, a firm of chartered accountants based in Liverpool City Centre is looking to recruit a Senior Practice Accountant to join their professional and friendly team.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of owner managed businesses, predominantly limited companies between £50k to £5m turnover, across a range of industry sectors.

You will be the first point of contact for the clients, dealing with day to day queries alongside ensuring all compliance work is completed to a high standard and to deadline.



Responsibilities include:

  • Client portfolio management including dealing with client queries
  • Year-end accounts production
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns
  • Managing the workflow for junior team members

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 7 years accounts preparation and taxation experience, gained from general practice.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of a variety of accounting packages including IRIS, Sage and Xero
  • Confident and professional manner - ability to work face to face with clients from Day One.
