We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and well-qualified teacher of English at Wood Green Academy.

As an academy, we are over-subscribed and consistently achieve some of the highest results in Sandwell. In our most recent Ofsted of February 2020 the school was judged to be good with outstanding features. We are extremely proud of being one of few secondary schools in the country to have been graded as outstanding for behaviour and attitudes under the new Ofsted framework. We have an excellent location being less than 15 miles from the centre of Birmingham whilst having excellent national links via both the M5 and the M6.

As an enthusiastic and committed teacher, you would join a welcoming, highly trained, and very supportive English department. The department is managed by the Director of English who is supported by English KS3, KS4 and KS5 Leaders. The English Department has a long experience in working with the Drama Department. The department has also a vast experience in successfully mentoring both ITT trainees and ECTs.
