Mental Health Recovery Support Worker who is compassionate, supportive with strong communication skills is required to join our team at Rethink Mental Illness based in Warminster, Wiltshire.

All levels of experience considered – Full Training Provided

SALARY: £22,004 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Positions available at 2 locations: Warminster and Salisbury

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-Time Positions also available)

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week (Part-Time roles less than 35 hours per week paid on a pro rata basis)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker who is compassionate, supportive with strong communication skills to join the organisation's friendly and welcoming team.

Working as a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker you will join a service which offers 24-hour support, so there are always trained staff on hand to support residents and deal with any problems that may arise.

At this CQC registered residential home, they believe that anyone who suffers from mental illness has the opportunity to live life to the full. Each resident has a 'key worker' who takes a special interest in their wellbeing, supporting them in what they wish to achieve while living at the home.

As the Mental Health Recovery Support Worker you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access al the support they need on their recovery journey.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Mental Health Recovery Support Worker you will:

  • Have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role
  • Be a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn
  • Be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity
  • Have, experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity (desirable)

This post will be subject to a DBS Enhanced with Adults Barred check
