The role

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join the Business Insights team at Worldpay. This position is based in London and aligned to the Worldpay University Program; a two-year program, suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading payments company.

As a 2024 Worldpay University Program full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, professional development initiatives and work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success; including bi-annual performance connects with your manager.

This two-year full-time program starts in September and as a university program participant you can look forward to the following:

About the team

You will join the Business Insight part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group at Worldpay. Core skills centre around data extraction and manipulation primarily using SQL to provide regular KPI reporting and provide analysis into the trends. The team is highly talented and motivated giving you the opportunity to accelerate your career as a Data and Finance professional.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will help extend the depth and breadth of capacity the Business Insight team can support, utilising data extracted from various Worldpay platforms. The primary purpose of the role is to drive excellence and standardising of financial reporting across Merchant Solutions globally – using the newly implemented RADAR platform.

Eventually supporting the creation of a global reporting platform to better interpret and explain payment related data trends to financial leadership as well as partnering with colleagues in other FP&A functions to achieve collective business success.

Principle areas of focus are:

  • Owners of month-end process and all regular reporting
  • Streamlining of data processes which are often repetitive and not joined up
  • Ownership of Bank Partnership and residual calculations
  • Focus on efficiency and automation in reporting
  • Provide timely output/ reporting adding appropriate commentary where necessary to help the Insight agenda
What you bring
  • A bachelor's degree, ideally in mathematics or other numerate discipline
  • Strong interpersonal skills – a confident communicator
  • Proactive, enthusiastic with a strong ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Highly organised, with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to build a network and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • MS Office experience, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have a keen interest in the payments and technology industry
  • You have ambitions to study towards a professional accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA
