Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wireman to join our team. As a Wireman, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will have a time-served apprenticeship, City and Guilds or NVQ qualification, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to complete projects
  • Test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
  • Time served apprenticeship in electrical installation or a related field
  • City and Guilds or NVQ qualification
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
Day-to-day
  • Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems
  • Installing new wiring of Electro Dynamic Shaker systems, this includes power amplifier from 30 watt to 55kw and Underwater Sonar systems.
  • Collaborating with team members on project planning and execution
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and meets safety regulations
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on projects and address any concerns
