As a Barclays Quantitative Analytics Prime Services you will be a part of QA Prime team, which is a new team within the QA Markets group to support the rapidly growing Prime Services business. QA Prime collaborates with the business in developing analytics tools and models to support managing market and counterparty risk as well as inventory and financial resources. This is an opportunity for you to develop new and improve existing analytics skills and you will also be involved in the end to end delivery.

What will you be doing?

Being responsible for delivering on the project pipeline for the Risk and GNA space

Designing, developing and improving models and analytics in the broader Prime Services libraries

Being responsible for liaising with Front Office and Technology, to deploy analytics in production

Providing tactical analysis on risk, PnL, and revenueing opportunities

Providing daily support for front office trading activity

Supporting traders with their trading decisions and providing them with any tools they may need to run their business and manage their exposures

Interacting with the market risk and counterparty credit risk teams in making sure that all risks are captured and properly incorporated into our models and processes

What we're looking for:

Extensive working knowledge and understanding of Python and familiarity with object-oriented programming

Critical thinking, good attention to detail and independent problem solving skills

Good analytical and numerical skills (probabilities, stochastics, integration theory etc.) and familiarity and practical experience with statistics and data analysis

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with ability to explain complicated concepts in a simple, non-technical way

Skills that will help you in the role:

Masters or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/Engineering)

Knowledge and understanding of financial products relevant to the prime business, e.g. repo, IR/FX -swaps, margin loans, equity total return swaps, futures

Experience with cross-platform/ cross-technology development (Windows/Linux) and workflow automation

Experience with data visualization tools, interface and libraries (e.g. Jupyter, Dash, Rest API)

Our Prague office is based in the financial centre of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game. However, the technology itself is not the most important thing.
