We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic, innovative and committed specialist in English who is passionate about their subject. We want to see our students develop a real appreciation of English, Literature and Literacy.

We'd like to hear from candidates who are:

To assist the Head of Department with leadership and management of the English Department to secure high quality teaching, positive outcomes for students and effective use of resourcesTo work towards the Academy visionPassionate about making a real difference to the lives of childrenTo work towards the Academy visionWell organised and motivated to support students of all abilities and needsEnergetic and have a can-do attitudeCommitted to safeguarding and the well-being of everyone at the schoolMaintain high standards of consistency and accuracy The post is suitable for both experienced leaders and those for whom this would be their first leadership role. What is important to us is that we appoint someone who is totally committed to the post and can demonstrate the ability to consistently support our quality first Teaching and Learning across the academy. We need someone who will work effectively and enthusiastically with other colleagues to continue moving the department forward and raising the profile of English and Literacy throughout the Academy and beyond.
