Team Member - YHA Cheddar

YHA Cheddar are looking to recruit individuals for various seasonal contracts available ranging from 0 to 20 hours per week, working with us from 1st April up until 7th November with the possibility of continuing over the winter season

YHA Cheddar is nestled in the Mendips, with the world famous Cheddar Gorge just a few minutes' walk away, this large, characterful Victorian house and accompanying annex makes the perfect short break destination for families, individuals and groups.

    The Role: Your Key Contributions

    As a Hospitality Team Member, you'll play a crucial role in making our guests' experiences memorable. Your efforts will be at the core of our mission to provide exceptional hospitality, regardless of your background or experience.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Providing warm hospitality and great customer service to all our customers, members and guests.
    • Working on reception and offering insights about the hostel and the local area, ensuring every guest feels informed and welcomed.
    • Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs and food & beverage sales and service.
    • Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for all guests.
    • Assisting in the preparation of food in the kitchen and serving food and drinks with genuine warmth, hospitality, and pride that will influence in more sales. Suggesting enjoying dinner with us or offering a beverage or dessert as you assist with table service, ensuring a diverse and welcoming experience for all guests.
