About the Role

As Senior Lecturer in Practice Learning, Nursing, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of practice learning focused teaching, assessment, and student support across the school's portfolio. Contributing to the development and delivery of social care and public health practice learning experiences and environments for nursing students and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

We would particularly welcome candidates who will enhance simulated practice learning in our Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the Research Excellence exercise.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in practice education and very good teaching experience on undergraduate nursing programmes is essential. A background in practice education with supporting qualifications and experience is essential.

To be successful you will further enrich our student's experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within nursing and midwifery education.
