We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, full-time, permanent Business Support Officer to provide administrative support to our Adult Social Care teams. This is a dynamic and exciting role where you will work in fast-paced environments, anticipating and resolving issues, prioritising competing demands, and successfully supporting the operational teams to deliver their responsibilities.

This position is full-time at 37 hours per week, with working hours from 09:00 am to 17:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 16.30pm on Friday. The base will be Scott House. Cambridgeshire County Council offers hybrid working to provide staff with the flexibility to work across multiple Cambridgeshire offices and from home after completing initial training and induction.

What will you be doing?

About the Role

As a Business Support Officer for the Adult's Long-Term teams, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing telephone and face-to-face support to operational staff, community workers, service users, and their families.
  • Handling sensitive enquiries and information with professionalism.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
  • Offering high-quality administrative support, proposing creative solutions to operational challenges.
  • Coordinating and supporting ongoing projects to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
  • Collaborating with other Business Officers to maintain consistency and excellence in our practices.
  • Providing minute taking support at Adult @ Risk meetings.
  • Updating and maintain information using Microsoft packages.
