Our client is expanding their group-wide Commercial Planning team. They are seeking a Product Pricing Analyst to join their team, who will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the business.

Reporting to the Group Pricing Manager, this role is responsible for all the product pricing they run. This is essential to the success of the commercial planning team and wider commercial organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of pricing
  • Deliver insight to influence pricing decisions
  • Perform web scraping to provide competitive insights
  • Maintain data sources required to run pricing, including cost price averaging, catalogues, and competitor prices
  • Lead pricing meeting with senior stakeholders, making recommendations on prices and documenting actions
  • Execute price changes for retail and wholesale channels
  • Model of various scenarios of suggested changes to determine impact on sales, profit and market share
  • Ensure websites are updated by the pricing administrator with accurate pricing information
  • Produce analysis on trials and price changes as part of post implementation reviews
  • Analyse cost price changes to ensure margin objectives
  • Improve the processes across value management practices, aligning with retail where possible
  • Automate data flows to reduce manual intervention

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing product pricing, preferably in the retail industries
  • Proficient in working with large datasets to make fact-based decisions
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, and data visualisation
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools such as Excel, SQL and Power BI
  • Ensuring accuracy in pricing, data and analysis
  • Experiencing in automating data flows and improving pricing processes
  • Hands-on self-starter with the combination of analytic and commercial skills to work out what needs doing and then act
  • Enjoys working at pace in a fast-moving trading environment
  • A can-do spirit with a proactive approach to making things happen including developing themselves and growing their skills
  • Precision in managing pricing data and analysis
  • Team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams
