Role Summary

Project Support Officer for the Nightingale Hospital Exeter

The Nightingale Hospital Exeter opened early 2022 providing the following services; South West Ambulatory Orthopaedic Centre, Centre of Excellence for Eyes, Rheumatology Centre, and the Devon Diagnostic Centre. There is a new opportunity to join our administrative team, working across the different services located on the site, providing essential support to the operational management team at the Nightingale.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear track record of strong organisation and administrative skills. They will have experience in supporting senior meetings, showing the ability to co-ordinate administrative tasks such as compiling meeting papers, minute taking, and active management of action logs. They will require a willingness to engage with staff at all levels and across the multidisciplinary teams, and be a key point of contact for Nightingale staff and service users. They will have intrinsic motivation to take on new and exciting projects, which will include digital communications; therefore strong organisation and IT skills are required.

This is a broad and exciting role which will give exposure to different support functions for services, and will report to the Admin Services Manager for the Nightingale Hospital Exeter. Duties will include supporting the Nightingale Hospital Exeter team in their operational meetings with services, governance meetings, and board meeting. They will also provide support for the Nightingale team's communication and engagement plan, including e-communication. They will support in responding to patient enquiries, and any Nightingale events.

Duties will include providing support to the Nightingale Leadership team and acting as a key point of contact for the different services based on the site. The role will require excellent organisational skills, and experience in complex NHS environments. You must have the ability to communicate with people calmly, sensitively and effectively both on the telephone and in person, and across all roles. The Nightingale is unique in its purpose as a system asset, and the role will require someone who can understand this structure and communicate across organisational boundaries.

This role is not currently expected to undertake any line management responsibilities.
