Description:

VaR Externalisation

  • expand the existing FRTB 'Externalised VaR' platform
    • add additional runs for 10D_VaR, SVaR, MaxSVaR, and other regulatory scenarios as requested
    • support ad-hoc runs by developing additional tooling for users to define the run parameters
    • leverage our orchestrator, Airflow, to ensure these runs are executed in a supportable manner on flexbile schedules
    • improve the operational capabilities of the platform in terms of early detection of problems, and automated solutions for handling failures and recovery
  • Pre- and post-go live operational support, bug fixing, and improvements to the software.
  • Improve the maintainability of the platform by moving key functions to cloud-native services and reducing the quantity of proprietary code, leading to reduced maintenance costs
  • Build a large-scale regression testing framework using BigQuery, Google Dataflow, and existing HSBC strategic view server technologies
