Senior Manager Strategy and Planning - Early Clinical Development

We have a very unique opportunity for a Senior Manager of Strategy and Planning to join our Clinical Pharmacology Services team (CPS).

This is a full-time, remote home-based job located in the UK.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Team Leadership:

You will lead a small team of individuals across the UK and US: your success will be their success You will be expected to:

Provide strong mentoring, training and guidance to the team on a day to day basis, to meet on time department deliverablesEmpower the team to advance along the Strategy and Planning career path and develop professionally.Foster confidence in team members, so they feel comfortable engaging with multiple key stakeholders including both internal colleagues, Fortrea sponsors, and external Phase I partner sitesThe full cycle of performance management : from goal setting, regular 1:1s, mentoring, year-end appraisals, to merit increase. Training design and delivery , to prepare the team for evolving challenges in more complex, large-scale studies.

Operational Responsibilities :

The development of clinical trial operational strategies requires innovative and strategic thinking. In this role, the development and management of external clinical site partner relationships, close collaboration across administrative, operational, and medical staff internally, and at external clinical sites is critical. You will be expected to:

Work closely with our commercial, operations and medical teams in crafting innovative and differentiating clinical development strategies for, and with our clients, in support of CPS clinical trials.Develop clinical trial strategies based upon evidence-based insights gathered from our experts, and supported by data-driven analytics. This will include feasibility and capability assessments, including subject and patient-focused design considerations.Review synopses/protocols for feasibility/site requirements, study design requirements, operational and scientific considerations in preparing proposals and supporting bid defnese meetings, leading to increased study awardsCreate materials and present strategies directly to clients in a compelling way to support commercial activities that drive growth.

YOU NEED TO BRING

Bachelor of Science or Science-related degree from a recognized University/College.Practical experience in Phase I clinical operations and general understanding of Phase I global drug development including demonstrated experience in professional presentations.Knowledge of the scientific principles, methods, and processes used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry; including study design, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; and the reporting of results, to ensure that a project, system, or product fulfills requirements and standards.Management experience and knowledge of teaching, training, making presentations and work instructions or job aids.Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical company/CRO including demonstrated skills across multiple competencies, such as, Clinical Research Coordinator, Business Development, Project Management, Commercial, Strategy and Planning, Site Management.
