Investment Reporting Specialist

Salary: Circa £55,000

We have a vacancy for an Investment Reporting Specialist in the Investment Reporting team who provides several critical services to the Aviva Markets in respect of the c£400bn of investment assets held by the market legal entities.

Core services performed by the team include the daily validation and enrichment of investment data needed by the markets in respect of the investment assets held; provision of data to key stakeholders (actuarial, ALM, CIO, tax etc); performing relevant Statutory & Regulatory Reporting on the investments (IFRS reporting and disclosures, Solvency II QRTs etc); performing Credit Risk Reporting and performing Independent Price Validation in line with PRA requirements.

The team also acts as a key SME function for queries in respect of investment assets or investment data. The team operates on behalf of all Aviva markets and Group/Plc but with the primary focus and services being aligned to the UK & Ireland markets.

A bit about the job:

This role will manage the output reporting performed for allocated legal entities within the Investment Reporting team, whilst also supporting the wider Investment Reporting team.

You will successfully deliver of all relevant reporting outputs into local markets in line with SLA expectations (including IFRS reporting in FCCS, S2 reporting in SSK, and other internal and external deliveries)
  • Ensure controls are operating effectively over the data to mitigate any relevant risks, acting where necessary to rectify ineffective controls and bring associated risks within appetite.
  • Work closely with the change teams to review and understand changes to reporting outputs arising from the impact of change activity on the reporting services.
  • Be the main point of contact for allocated legal entity reporting queries, interacting with internal stakeholders' teams and external parties as needed to unblock issues and take relevant decisions.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements as they relate to investment assets.
  • Understanding of investment instruments and lifecycle from trade to reporting and what each organisation is responsible for.
  • Excellent communicator, with strong relationship management capabilities, ability to discuss issues and options with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work at pace and move between a broad range of topics including experience making difficult decisions in tight timeframes.
  • Accounting qualification required (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and an investment qualification would be an advantage to have (IOC, CFA or equivalent).
