We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, innovative, and highly skilled Teacher of Art, with a willingness to deliver some Food Technology lessons to KS3, in our popular and well-established Faculty of Art, Design and Technology.

Situated on the Fylde Coast, Fleetwood High School offers provision for 1050 students from Year 7 through to Year 11. If successful, you will be supported by our experienced AD&T Team of Art, Textiles, 3D Design and Technology specialists.

We are keen to attract the right calibre of professional to work alongside our dedicated team of staff within our 'Fleetwood Way;' we are looking for a multi-disciplinary candidate from an Art, Textiles, Graphics or 3D Design background who has the flexibility to deliver a small proportion of our KS3 Food lessons.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Director of Art, Design and Technology, and it is expected for you to support the strategic direction and development of the AD&T team.

We are looking for someone who can:

Work closely with and support the Director of AD&TActively promote the team ethos of the AD&T Faculty through supporting colleagues and establishing a culture of collaborative work, sharing best practice and resources.Develop, maintain and stimulate pupils' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in Art, Design and TechnologyDevelop the curriculum to ensure it is broad and ambitious for all students and enables to students to master the knowledge and skills they need to be successful at GCSE and beyond.Ensure the AD&T Faculty are effectively delivering the curriculum and have access to the resources needed to teach the individual schemes of work, including leading and overseeing the writing and delivery of workbooks.Support the planning and delivery of the lessons so they are of the highest standard possible.Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and imaginative way in both practical and theory lessons. We believe that excellent teaching must sit alongside a carefully considered and sequenced curriculum, implemented successfully and consistently through a great school culture. We have a strong, yet developing behaviour system, where expectations and routines are explicitly taught and deliberately practised. We are creating a learning culture that is warm and strict, disciplined and respectful, where teachers can focus on teaching and pupils can focus on learning, this underpins everything. There needs to be relentless consistency with the implementation of our procedures and policies in every classroom, and overcommunication of the 'why' to all stakeholders, to help ensure impeccable behaviour.
