HMH in Aberdeenshire is looking to expand its Workshop team by hiring Mechanical Technicians to handle repair, overhaul, and assembly of drilling equipment. Successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to risk assessments and toolbox talks
  • Performing all job functions safely
  • Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standards
  • Completing timesheets and inspection reports accurately and on time
  • Performing QC checks at Goods In point as needed
  • Participating in the investigation of unsafe practices
  • Suggesting improvements to working practices and product lines
  • Ensuring compliance with waste management policies
  • Operating forklifts, overhead gantry cranes, and vertical lift platforms
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of fluid power systems
  • Experience in pressure testing (gas and fluid based)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Ability to read schematic and layout drawings
  • Effective communication in English (written and oral)
