We are looking to recruit a Project Engineer focusing on flood risk management to ensure that Brighton and Hove City Council can meet their statutory responsibilities as a Lead Local Flood Authority.

About the role

We would love you to bring your skills, knowledge, and experience to:

To support the flood risk manager in delivering our flood management plan for the next five years.

Provide support to the community in respect of flood and water related matters, responding to councillor and customer queries on such matters.

To support the flood manager in order to reduce and where possible prevent flooding events, to provide technical advice in respect of other council work as far as drainage and flooding is concerned.

Work with contractors and designers to create a safer place for the residents and visitors to Brighton and Hove, whilst achieving the City's aspiration of achieving Carbon Net Zero by 2030.
