Here at Blackmagic Design we are continuing our hunt for experienced C++ Engineers to join our dynamic software team in Bristol.

As a quick introduction if you are not aware of us, we create a range of products that serve the live and post production video industry, which includes some of the most advanced film and broadcast cameras, audio/video converters, colour and editing software, scanners and monitors just to name a few.

About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth we have a demand for strong C++ Engineers to help with our capability uplift, working across a range of different product streams.

You will be collaborating directly with development and marketing departments and your team will be involved with the entire production cycle. You will get hands on experience with building end to end prototype to final hardware.

All aspects of production and manufacturing are done in house, including our operating system Blackmagic OS which is used on all our products making us the only company in the Southern hemisphere to build their own operating system.

For this role you will need to be passionate about code and have a willingness to tackle difficult problems head-on. We are looking for software engineers that have fluent C++ programming skills.

The skill set we require from you

Fluent programming skills and implementing solutions using C++Knowledge of Qt and modern C++ (C++11, 14 and 17)Linux, Mac OS X or UNIX development experienceHistory of building custom made productsExperience with multi process or threaded applicationsExperience with complex data structuresScripting experience (python preferred)Ability to handwrite code with a willingness to discuss If these skills, requirements and goals match your own, please apply today.
