HGV Driver / LGV Cat C (Class 2) Driver

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a qualified HGV Driver to join a leading operator in the recycling industry based in North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will work with a variety of vehicles for the collection of used car tyres in the north east and north west regions.

We are seeking a dedicated driver with a C category entitlement on their licence for a short-term contract covering holiday periods. The role involves driving LGV vehicles, 7.5t vehicles, and vans to collect used car tyres.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience with C entitlement
  • Ability to drive various vehicles including LGV, 7.5t, and vans
  • Good customer service skills and communication
  • Physically fit to handle loading tyres manually
Pay Rate:
  • First 12 weeks: £14.00 per hour
  • After 12 weeks: £14.52 per hour

The role involves early morning starts and Applicants must have their own transport due to the location of the client's depot. The job also requires good time management skills to ensure timely collections without delays.

Benefits include hourly rate, Paid Annual Leave, CPC Driver Qualification Card, and training. Successful candidates will undergo a driving skills assessment during the first week of the assignment.
